DOUBLETIME FOR WINDSOR: Hilary, Alannah and Galen Weston were out in force Wednesday morning at The Core Club to trumpet this winter’s exhibition at the Whitechapel Gallery at Windsor. Come December the Romanian-born twins Gert and Uwe Tobias will unveil their exhibition at Windsor, the Vero Beach private residential community founded by Hilary and Galen Weston more than 20 years ago. Iwona Blazwick OBE, director of the Whitechapel Gallery in London, was also on hand to talk about what’s in store for the second of their three-year curatorial partnership.
In New York for a quick hop, Alannah Weston, creative director of Selfridges, chatted with guests about navigating London’s fashion week and design week. The chummy gathering included photographer Priscilla Rattazzi, art specialist Bettina von Hase and novelist Isabel Fonseca. Blazwick described watching the Tobias brothers creating their collage-like art in their Cologne, Germany studio where one will add an adornment to their canvas-covered table and the other will then replace it with something else.
