WESTWOOD GOES WESTWARD: British designer Vivienne Westwood last week opened a boutique in Honolulu. This is Westwood’s first boutique in Hawaii, and her second in the U.S. Her first store is located in Los Angeles. The Hawaiian boutique, which is franchised, is housed in the Moana Surfrider Hotel at Waikiki Beach. The hotel, which opened in 1901, is the oldest hotel in Waikiki. The beachfront property has six large windows visible from Kalakaua Avenue with two entrances to the store: one on Kalakaua Avenue and the second from the central lobby of the hotel.
Spanning about 1,700 square feet, the shop features pieces from the Anglomania, Red and MAN Label collections, as well as jewelry, handbags, small leather goods, shoes, sunglasses and other accessories.
