COUTURE ROCKS: Louis Vuitton’s first fine jewelry flagship is set to open in Paris on July 2 — just in time for couture week. Located at 23 Place Vendôme in a 17th century townhouse, the store, which was designed by Peter Marino, will boast an on-site atelier.
According to a statement from Vuitton, Marino chose to work with “simple,” natural materials for the store’s design, such as straw marquetry, light rosewood paneling and Havana leather, to balance out the richness of the jewelry and timepieces that will be on show.
