Vivienne Tam's Turns... Designers Float Around Venice... Nilsson Rumors...

Vivienne Tam has two unveilings coming up in Las Vegas: a collection of custom upholstered furniture and hotel spa uniforms.

SUIT YOURSELF: Speculation is that Swedish designer Lars Nilsson is finalizing a deal for a signature men’s wear line with Italian men’s wear and tailoring manufacturer Mabro-Antichi Telai. The line, whose moniker is still to be fixed, is expected to be presented at Pitti Uomo in Florence next spring. Nilsson, who is said to have figured among finalists for the creative director position recently open at Halston (scooped by Marios Schwab), has kept a low profile since being ousted from Gianfranco Ferré in 2008 after a brief stint as the house’s creative director. Prior to that, Nilsson worked for three years as women’s wear designer for Nina Ricci before being replaced by Olivier Theyskens in August 2006.
