VIVIENNE TAM DOES FINE JEWELRY: Vivienne Tam will introduce her first range of fine jewelry: Vivienne Tam for TSL Fine Jewelry, an 18-piece collection produced in partnership with Asian-based TSL Jewellery, during New York Fashion Week. The heavily 18-karat gold line is divided into five groups — metal, wood, water, fire and earth — that will retail between $6,500 and $40,000. The collection will be carried at five of TSL’s 200 locations (in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Macau and Kuala Lumpur) for the spring season, and available on a made-to-order basis at the retailer’s remaining 195 doors and at the designer’s Web site and store in New York City. Tam hopes to establish this category as a permanent portion of her business, with a more accessible jewelry range to follow.
