VERSA ACQUIRES EASTERN MOUNTAIN SPORTS: Versa Capital Management LLC has acquired the 69-unit outdoor retail chain Eastern Mountain Sports. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Versa principal Mark Walsh, who is also chairman of apparel chain Bob’s Stores, will become chairman of Eastern Mountain. The retail chain operates in 12 Eastern states. Philadelphia-based Versa’s portfolio includes plus-size chain Avenue Stores and fabrics firm Polartec.
