Vera Wang Madison Avenue Store Getting an Update

The Upper East Side boutique is about to be refurbished by Brian Sawyer, who is also finessing a store for the designer on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills.

VERA’S WHITE-OUT: Brides-to-be need not panic when passing by Vera Wang’s darkened store on New York’s Madison Avenue. The Upper East Side boutique is about to be refurbished by Brian Sawyer of Sawyer-Berson, who is also finessing a store for the designer on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. The uptown locale’s interior will be recast in the dark gray-black-white palette that has become a signature for the designer’s other bridal stores, “but with a slightly different, more classical slant out of respect for the Carlyle [hotel] and our 24-year history there,” Wang said.

And for the next month or so, antsy brides can still see her wedding gowns by making an appointment for the company’s offices on East 26th Street in Manhattan.
