VENUS’ GAME DAY: Venus Williams took a creative approach to showcasing her spring/summer EleVen by Venus Williams tennis collection Wednesday night. Her presentation featured prominent athletes such as former middleweight champion Michael Olajide, Mitchell Kelly (“So You Think You Can Dance” and Cirque DuSoleil), Albert Evans (the New York City Ballet) and Leila Fazel (Dance Theater of Harlem and Aerospace NYC,) as well as trainers from Soul Cycle and Tracy Anderson Method. While showcasing their athletic prowess in various vignettes — where they did gymnastics, ballet, boxed and played tennis — they presented the women’s and men’s tennis line. The spring line hits retailers in December, while capsule collections have already been introduced online and in specialty stores and pro shops.
