BURNING BRIGHT: Tyga is sinking his teeth into retail. The hip hop artist is officially opening a 2,800-square-foot store on Saturday to house his streetwear brand Last Kings in Christian Audigier’s former location at 7829 Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles. Like the clothing brand, the store, which Tyga conceived with creative director Tarell Meeks, is inspired by ancient Egyptian art and architecture. It has pharaoh, tomb and mummy motifs. Last Kings’ prices range from $20 to $150, and key pieces include flannels and long T-shirts. The brand is carried at 350 stores around the country and has become a bestseller at Tillys. It has plans to open a second Southern California store in Orange County in the near future.
