JAPAN'S PLANS: Tokyo's fashion week doesn't kick off for another couple months but organizers are already releasing some teasers about what is come for the shows, which run March 17 through March 23.

Vivienne Tam will stage a special show and possibly also host a party sometime during the week. This season's line up will also include Versus Tokyo, an all-night music and fashion event that will be semi open to the public. Versus participants will include several up-and-coming men's labels such as Phenomeon, Mr. Gentleman and C.E., a brand that was started by veterans of A Bathing Ape (BAPE) and Billionaire Boys Club.

Meanwhile, fashion week sponsor Mercedes Benz is bringing Dutch designer Conny Groenewegen to show in Tokyo as part of an exchange program. Earlier this month, Yu Amatsu of the Japanese brand A Degree Fahrenheit staged a show during Berlin Fashion Week.
