Tod’s unveiled its new sartorial collection, branded with the original J.P. Tod’s label and made entirely by hand, in a new dedicated floor of its boutique in Milan’s Via Spiga. “This is sort of a gentleman’s club, the idea is to provide our customers with a special place where they can enjoy a drink or make a phone call,” said Tod’s chief Diego Della Valle in the luxurious space lined in leather, walnut wood and steel, decorated with memorabilia from around the world or contemporary art furniture. On appointment, a personal assistant guides customers to the third floor through a dedicated lift. Della Valle plans to open a total of eight sartorial floors around the world, in cities including Los Angeles, Paris, Tokyo, Shanghai and New York.
