Kellwood Co. Selling Koret Assets

According to a spokeswoman, production for the brand has ceased.

TIP ASSET SALE: Kellwood Co. is selling the intellectual property assets connected with the Koret apparel brand. Hilco Streambank has been retained as the selling agent. Koret, a brand founded in 1938 known for coordinating tops and bottoms, was once a $200 million brand in its heyday but posted net sales of just $12 million in 2011. It is still sold in some catalogues and midtier retailers such as Belk. According to a Kellwood spokeswoman, production for the brand has ceased.
