Trace Ayala and Justin Timberlake brought their brand William Rast to Berlin's Bread & Butter.

WHAT GOES AROUND: Expectations were high as a crowd of German celebrities and exhibitors from fashion trade show Bread & Butter waited for a glimpse of Justin Timberlake Wednesday night. Earlier in the day, the singer and fashion entrepreneur made a stop at the booth of his brand, William Rast, then hit the party at the Silver Wings club, where models wearing the denim line mingled seamlessly with the crowd of guests. “I wouldn’t stray far from saying that Berlin and L.A. are on par with the same fashion,” said Rast co-owner Trace Ayala, while Timberlake stayed ensconced in a VIP area behind curtains and mountainous bouncers. “In general, I think Germany has good fashion. There’s a ton of denim here.” The Rast brand is on a mini-European tour, hitting Selfridges in London and Colette in Paris, along with Berlin. Ayala declined to give financial details, but said the three-year-old company is hitting all the right marks.  “It’s dope to grow the way that we want to grow without any pressure,” he said. “We want to create a full collection and not be just one of these denim brands that sell themselves out to make a fortune.”
