THUNDER DOMA?: Croatian ready-to-wear designer Damir Doma — known for his minimalist, avant-garde looks with a keen focus on fabrics and construction — is said to be Pitti Immagine’s guest star at the next edition of Italian trade fair Pitti W, which runs from June 18 to 21 in Florence.
Lapo Cianchi, Pitti’s director of communication and events, said he would neither confirm nor deny rumors of Doma’s appearance at the fair. “What I will say is that we really like Damir Doma,” Cianchi said. “He belongs to a generation of young designers who fit in with Pitti’s line of thought.”
Representatives from the Paris-based Doma brand declined to comment.
Maison Kitsuné was chosen as guest designer for Pitti W’s last edition, which ran from Jan. 8 to 11.
