CHAT ROOM: From J.C. Penney’s numbers and the combination of Hudson’s Bay and Saks Fifth Avenue, to conspiracy theories about Princess Diana’s death, the apparel industry executives who attended the Threadstone Advisors dinner Monday night at the Wynn took on a variety of subjects.
Attendees ran the gamut from Macy’s Stuart Goldblatt and Li & Fung’s Paul Raffin and Paul Rosengard to Adriano Goldschmied, Marc Heller of CIT and Bob D’Loren of Xcel Brands.
The event gets larger every market and is a coveted invite. More than 30 people made the cut this time.
Threadstone’s William Susman, who hosted the event with his colleague Todd Slater, made no speeches and just let his guests mingle.
“This is the no-agenda dinner,” he said. “We’re creating a forum where people can have a glass of wine, a nice dinner and relax. Somebody in the room is looking for a job and somebody is looking for money. And this is a way for them to sit around a table and talk shop.”
