THEFT AT LINCOLN CENTER: Fashion can be a rough business, but that doesn’t justify petty theft. On Wednesday, a runway photographer and photographer’s assistant were pickpocketed during the Michael Kors show. The photographer lost cash; the assistant, a credit card and Metro card. With all the crowding and jostling in the pit, it wouldn’t be surprising if the incidents occurred there as opposed to outside the tents, where scores of well-dressed editors have been tromping around all week. Which makes one wonder: What do the criminals have against Chanel handbags?

CONE HEADS: Tuesday night’s Threeasfour show in Sara D. Roosevelt Park resonated more as an art installation than a runway show, although there was certainly some of the latter mixed in. Displayed on a spiraling, conical screen was a film by model Christina Kruse and artist Seth Carnes that featured models Danielle Z, Farrah Summerford, Hannelore Knuts, Kirsten Owen and Nick Morgan. The models, who appeared completely zipped up in large white garment bags, displayed the black-and-white circular-themed collection by appearing in and out of the cone quite often in a point-counterpoint pairing.

SPACE CADETS: Belgian brand A.F. Vandevorst is taking its guerrilla store concept, Aktion, to cyberspace. After recently unveiling pop-up shops in Antwerp and Knokke, Belgium, the label, by design duo An Vandevorst and Filip Arickx, will unveil its online store concept, Aktion direkt, today. A third pop-up shop will open in Ghent, Belgium, to coincide with the launch. Meanwhile, Bernhard Willhelm also is getting in on the e-commerce action. The German designer’s new e-commerce and Web sites, which went live Wednesday, feature fall styles and information from the archive, news and videos of the designer’s whimsical presentations.
