THE WOMEN’S ROOM: The Women for Women International charity and De Beers Diamond Jewelers hosted a fund-raiser this week at the Royal Opera House in London, with guests including Matthew Williamson, Alice Temperley, Arizona Muse, Jasmine Guinness and Jade Parfitt. Lily Cole and Lianne La Havas performed along with Royal Opera House musicians.

Williamson crammed the event into a fashion-packed schedule — and admitted that he saw very little of London Collections: Men. “I have been really busy, but its obviously doing wonders for British fashion — and I need to have a good look and get some new clothes. I’m working on my spring-summer collection and my second homewear line that I am about to launch in September. It’s busy!”

De Beers has collaborated with Women for Women on a photographic project called Moments in Light. Mary McCartney shot portraits of accomplished women, including choreographer Aszure Barton and chef Skye Gyngell, talking about their moments of inspiration.

Women for Women International is an organization that aids survivors of war worldwide, with programs aimed at helping women to fight poverty by developing their education and work skills.
