THE MUSIC OF MOSS: Clearly serious about protecting all aspects of her oeuvre, Kate Moss has joined the U.K.’s Performing Rights Society, the organization that collects royalties for composers and songwriters every time their music is played. A spokeswoman for the PRS confirmed that Moss — who cowrote songs with her ex-flame, Pete Doherty — registered with the society. An industry source close to Moss said the model has no immediate plans to launch a songwriting career, squashing British press reports that she is set to collaborate with her current rocker boyfriend, Jamie Hince. The source insisted Moss joined the society as an “accounting formality,” and added she remains focused on her modeling and on her nascent design career at Topshop.
