THE MARRYING KIND: Men’s fashion week couldn’t stop Margherita Missoni from tying the knot on Saturday — nor did it prevent editors Suzy Menkes, Franca Sozzani and Stefano Tonchi from making the trip to Brunello. The town is a half-hour drive from Milan and home to the church of Santa Maria Annunciata.
The bride, daughter of creative director Angela Missoni, selected the romantic church to wed Eugenio Amos, and asked her designer friend Giambattista Valli to fashion the long-sleeve gown made with Missoni silk and organza, and embellished with embroideries and flower applications. Missoni also wore a tiara that held back her veil. Valli attended the wedding, and Tatiana Santo Domingo, Eugenie Niarchos and Margherita’s sister Teresa were the bridesmaids.
