Temperley London Looks to Mayfair

The London-based label will open a 2,500-square-foot, two-story flagship on Bruton Street in November.

TEMPERLEY LOOKS TO MAYFAIR: Temperley London is set to plant a flag in London’s Mayfair this fall. The London-based label will open a 2,500-square-foot, two-story flagship on Bruton Street in November, alongside stores including Diane von Furstenberg, Stella McCartney, Matthew Williamson and Kenzo.

Temperley is taking on the six-floor Georgian building at 27 Bruton Street in its entirety, which also will house its press and wholesale teams and its showrooms, along with its financial and e-commerce offices. The new store will carry the label’s Temperley London, Alice by Temperley and Temperley Bridal collections. Alice Temperley, creative director of the label, said: “It feels like the right time for our company to make this move and embark on the next phase of our business expansion.”

The company is taking over the site currently occupied by Juicy Couture’s store and European offices. Juicy will open a new store and offices at 198 Regent Street in July, while maintaining a showroom on Bruton Street.

Temperley’s Notting Hill location on Colville Mews will continue to house the label’s design team and seamstresses, while the Temperley store based there will be redesigned as a bridal and occasion dressing destination.
