TARGET SHOPS REDUX: The Shops at Target’s inaugural flight only bowed on May 6, and now the retailer’s promoting the next wave. All four, like the first set, will last six weeks. The new ones will be introduced Sept. 9 and will include Boston-based Patch NYC, Kirna Zabête, Odin and The Curiosity Shoppe. Odin co-founders Eddy Chai and Paul Birardi focused on sweaters, Henleys, button-downs, pants, shoes and accessories, as well as a black moleskin jacket for $99.99 with a stand-up collar and a weekender bag with impressive hardware. The partners, who operate three stores in Manhattan, plan to venture outside the city for their next store, set to open within the next 18 months. Boston-based Patch NYC is inspired by nature, from duvets to green, teal and burnt orange candles to poufs in natural colors.
Sarah Easley and Beth Buccini, co-founders of Kirna Zabête, the SoHo specialty store, created 100 styles for Target, including original prints with signature motifs such as kisses. A leather moto jacket is $199.99. There’s a group of pink, gray and black items, necklaces with round baubles, and shiny red and black evening bags. Easley and Buccini liked the way the Kirna Zabête for Target collection turned out so much, they will reportedly offer it in the SoHo store.
