Savannah Gearing Up for SCAD Style Event

The design-minded showcase, which features film screenings, panel discussions, designer interviews and more, will run April 15 to 19.

STYLIN’ AT SCAD: The Savannah College of Art and Design is gearing up for its annual SCAD Style event, which will run April 15 to 19 at the SCAD Museum of Art. The April 15 kickoff event will feature a screening of the documentary “Battle of Versailles,” followed by a chat with Stephen Burrows, Pat Cleveland and Cameron Silver. A doubleheader is planned for the following day, with Domenico De Sole talking business to lead things off. Filmmaker Lisa Vreeland will also be in Savannah April 16 for a screening and chat about her documentary “The Eye Has to Travel,” about her grandmother-in-law, Diana Vreeland.

Fern Mallis will stage a Q&A with Betsey Johnson on April 17 and Fairchild Fashion Media chief executive officer Gina Sanders will cap off the design-minded week April 19.
