BOOT UP: Stuart Weitzman has partnered with Gilt on a pop-up digital shop that goes live at noon Thursday, dedicated solely to its signature over-the-knee 5050 boot. For the first time, Gilt has created a separate URL at 5050bootcamp.com that will offer 20 different styles of theboot, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary and is a mainstay of Stuart Weitzman assortments. Along with staple materials like black nappa, black patent and navy suede, the online shop will house ten exclusive designs in exotic skins like zebra hair calf, goosebump nappa and studded nubuc. The most dramatic is a boot studded with 25,000 hand-set Swarovski crystals in a leopard pattern, which will sell for $10,000. The sale is a departure for Gilt, a flash sale site, as all the merchandise is full-price, ranging mostly from $598 to $890. The site will remain active for 20 days.
