SEC Filing Reveals Sportswear's Stake in Michael Kors

Silas K.F. Chou and Lawrence S. Stroll now together beneficially own 11.6 million shares of Michael Kors Holdings, or 5.7 percent of the total shares issued.

SPORTSWEAR’S STAKE IN KORS: According to a regulatory filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Silas K.F. Chou and Lawrence S. Stroll, through different investment vehicles including Sportswear Holdings Ltd., now together beneficially own 11.6 million shares of Michael Kors Holdings Ltd., or 5.7 percent of the total shares issued and outstanding as of Nov. 1.

Last February, Stroll and Chou put up 19.7 million Kors shares for sale, a transaction that when it was completed would reduce their stake in the company to 4.3 percent from 15.6 percent.

Shares of Michael Kors rose 1.3 percent to close at $81.09 in trading Monday on the New York Stock Exchange. At Monday’s close, their combined stake in Kors was worth $940.6 million.
