GROWING WEB: Sole Society has got more than soles. The Los Angeles-based e-commerce destination broke into the handbag category Tuesday with four leather styles priced from $99.95 to $129.95. Additional handbags starting at $39.95 will enter Sole Society’s assortment each month. Sole Society is expanding its merchandise portfolio even further in April with jewelry priced as low as $24.95 per piece. “We are committed to offering our consumers a wider selection of product offerings with the same fashion-forward styles and accessibility they are accustomed to,” said Sole Society chief executive officer Brett Markinson. Flash sales specialist HauteLook launched Sole Society in March 2011, and it was spun off from HauteLook in December of the same year. Investors in Sole Society include Nordstrom, Inc., Insight Venture Partners and Lagovent Ventures.
