SO LONG, SYKES: Joanna Sykes, design director of Aquascutum, will leave her role at the end of the month, the company said. Sykes joined Aquascutum in May 2010 and garnered a string of positive reviews for her clean, minimal, modernist collections. Tim Dally, Aquascutum’s new chief executive officer said her departure was a mutually agreed decision. “It is very early days for us as a new management team, but we will shortly announce structural changes that will focus the business and ensure the longevity of this incredible British heritage brand,” he said. Last month, Hong Kong-based YGM Trading purchased the U.K. arm of Aquascutum, and now owns 100 percent of the brand. Dally, who took up his role last month, was previously head of TPD Luxury Solutions Ltd., the global Aquascutum golf license holder.
