An “Easy Rider”-flavored version of Hogan’s iconic Interactive sneaker hits stores today.

SNEAKER PEEK: Ever imagined “Easy Rider” translated as a shoe? The movie’s director, Dennis Hopper, has. A new “Easy Rider”-flavored version of Hogan’s iconic Interactive sneaker — with distressed leather and Stars and Stripes details — will hit the brand’s stores worldwide today, limited to 99 pairs. To coincide with the launch, Hopper, who is said to be a friend of the Della Valle family, is making an appearance at the brand’s Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré Paris flagship tonight to sign copies of his latest photo tome: “Dennis Hopper, Photographs 1961-1967.”



BIG TUESDAY: The fashion flock made the rounds Tuesday night, starting at Saks Fifth Avenue, where Stephen I. Sadove and Diane von Furstenberg hosted a party to celebrate the “American Fashion Cookbook.” Guests nibbled on appetizers that came straight from the designers’ recipes in the book. (Elie Tahari’s grilled lamb chop with fresh mint from page 66 was a favorite.) Later, von Furstenberg joined Francisco Costa, Italo Zucchelli, Giambattista Valli, Sasha Pivovarova, Josh Lucas and Eva Mendes at Calvin Klein’s Madison Avenue boutique to fete another tome, “The World in Vogue: People, Parties, Places.” Afterward, the chic set trotted over to the new Le Caprice for a late supper.



ENVELOPES, PLEASE: This year’s Pratt Legends honorees will have plenty of star power to help them celebrate. Helena Christensen will introduce Marc Jacobs, Richard Meier will fete fellow architect David Rockwell and Robert Mapplethorpe’s brother, Edward, will give Patti Smith her prize at the Oct. 29 scholarship benefit and gala. Other notables expected at the shindig include Christo and Jeanne-Claude, Elizabeth Peyton, Stefan Sagmeister, Terry Winters, Karim Rashid and former New York City mayor David Dinkins.

This time around, co-chairs are Kurt Andersen, Amy Cappellazzo and Marjorie Kuhn, and the school expects to raise about $200,000 to provide financial aid. Guests will be treated to a performance by Smith.



CITIZENS OF HUMANITY POPS INTO RON HERMAN: Ron Herman is on a roll with the contemporary and premium denim brands that are opening pop-up shops inside the ivy-covered walls of its retail complex in Los Angeles. Following J Brand and Quiksilver, Citizens of Humanity will unveil its first retail venture — albeit one in business for at least three weeks — there on Saturday. Evoking luxury vintage, the nook will be swathed in silk, jacquard and other lush decor to complement the denim label’s gam-hugging stretchy jeans and innovative washes. The collaboration with Ron Herman likely will cross the Pacific to Japan, where Citizens of Humanity is eyeing another pop-up space in Ron Herman’s new shop in Tokyo. “Consumers are looking to having a different kind of shopping experience,” said Adriano Goldschmied, executive vice president of design at Citizens of Humanity. “They don’t care about going into a store that looks like a showroom. They care about having fun, finding new product and new ideas.”
