Showgoers Scrambling for Hotels Before Snow Storm

Many industry commuters were scrambling Wednesday night to find hotel rooms in the city to ensure they could get to the shows on Thursday.

NO JACKET REQUIRED: Like several other VIP fashion week guests who were scared off by this week's snowstorm, Paula Abdul opted not to fly to New York for Douglas Hannant's show at the private downtown social club Parlor. Conversely, many industry commuters were scrambling Wednesday night to find hotel rooms in the city to ensure they could get to the shows on Thursday. One new option not far from the garment center is The William, the former Williams Club which is now a hotel and extended stay property. Daniela Agnelli, Ingvar Helgason and Chip and Pepper's Chip Foster are a few of the fashion types who have checked in since it first opened its East 39th Street doors.
