AFTER DARK: Janet Jackson, accompanied by her billionaire boyfriend Wissam Al Mana, made a surprise appearance at a cocktail in Milan on Thursday night celebrating Sergio Rossi’s fall-winter collection.

The event was held on the 25th floor of the spanking new Diamond Tower, Italy’s highest building. Jackson, who wore curved black suede platform heels under a floor-length skirt, took in the collection — inspired by architect Santiago Calatrava — against the backdrop of a 360-degree panoramic view of Milan by night.

Sergio Rossi creative director Francesco Russo said it was the first party held in the building. “I was looking for something that said architecture, because the collection is about the architectural side of the shoes, and secondly, I really like the idea of showing people something that has never been shown before in Milan,” he explained.
