OUT EAST: The summer roundelay of Hamptons, N.Y., benefit parties got a pastel-hued start on Saturday at the 14th annual School’s Out fund-raiser for the Hetrick-Martin Institute. Sponsored by A|X Armani Exchange and Greater Gotham Mini Cooper dealers, the event raised a record $225,000 for the organization, which provides education and support services to LGBTQ youth and their families. Cochairing the evening were Ralph Lauren executive vice president and chief retail creative officer Alfredo Paredes, GQ associate publisher Brendan Monaghan and InStyle advertising director Bobby Graham.
A heavy contingent of media and fashion folk mingled on the lush lawn of Peter Wilson and Scott Sanders’ Further Lane estate, including Hal Rubenstein, Glamour’s William Wackermann, Project president Tommy Fazio, photographer Douglas Friedman and Erika Bearman — better known in the Twitterverse as OscarPRgirl —whose voluminous charcoal gray gown stood out against a sea of pink pants and sky blue blazers.
