Family friends like Michelle Williams, formerly of Destiny’s Child, were on hand to celebrate her daughter Beyoncé’s real-life role as the film’s executive producer as well as her portrayal of rough-edged songstress Etta James on screen. Tina Knowles, designer and creative director of House of Deréon, is currently planning a collection of dresses inspired by the film.
