RUNWAY REUNION: Alexis Bittar and Nicola Formichetti are teaming up again — this time for the runway. The designers, who have collaborated in the past on special pieces for editorials and celebrities such as Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Madonna, Alicia Keys and Cameron Diaz, have worked on exclusive accessories for Mugler’s fall runway show, which is slated for today at La Halle Freyssinet in Paris. “This season, the collection for Mugler has a retro Sixties vein to it, so we focused on futuristic physics in jewelry, where sculptural metal is almost kinetically suspended from the body,” said Bittar. It is the jewelry designer’s second runway effort for fall — he also collaborated with Phillip Lim during New York Fashion Week.
