GAGA FOR GIVENCHY: The fashion world’s favorite new songstress, Lady Gaga, will perform at a New York Fashion Week launch party for the new Givenchy Play men’s fragrance at The Box on Sept. 15, according to a well-placed source. The event is being hosted by Out magazine and organized by party planner Patrick Duffy — who also is overseeing the Rodarte party that same evening. Lady Gaga, known for her outré Eighties-inspired costumes, has sold more than 3 million copies of her debut album, “The Fame,” and was photographed by Ellen von Unwerth for the current cover of Out. The Box has made plans to bring in a grand piano for Lady Gaga so she can perform an acoustic set of her hits, such as “Just Dance,” “Poker Face” and “Paparazzi.” Lady Gaga is rumored to have a busy fashion week schedule, as Marc Jacobs has said she may perform at his party the previous Monday evening — although the official word from the Jacobs camp is that nothing has been confirmed.
