Issa Opening First Store in Tokyo

The shop, in the Roppongi Hills Shopping Centre, spans 605 square feet and will open on Thursday.

ROPPONGI READY: Issa, the London-based brand made famous internationally by the Duchess of Cambridge, is set to open its first store, in Tokyo. The shop, in the Roppongi Hills Shopping Centre, spans 605 square feet and will open on Thursday. Issa will be one of more than 40 new stores to open at Roppongi Hills following a major refurbishment. Stores in other markets are set to open later this year. Kate Middleton famously wore a royal blue Issa silk jersey dress on the day she and Prince William publicly revealed their engagement. In 2011, Camilla Al Fayed purchased a controlling stake in Issa, with the aim of developing the brand globally. Issa was founded by the Brazilian designer Daniella Issa Helayel, who remains creative director and a shareholder.
