VEGAS TIME: Red Valentino on Wednesday opened a 2,700-square-foot store in the Forum Shops at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas. The design of the store adheres to a new retail concept unveiled in December of last year at a Red Valentino store in Milan. Valentino creative directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli developed the concept with Nikki Nye and Amy Flurry of Paper-Cut Project. The bright, white store is divided into three rooms, and the design elements are intended to give it a multidimensional feel. There are textured white capitonne walls with metal details, for example. Women’s ready-to-wear, handbags, shoes and other accessories are available. Although Red Valentino is new to Forum Shops, Valentino isn’t. The brand has an accessories store that opened in August at the shopping center. The Las Vegas store brings Red Valentino’s freestanding retail total in the U.S. to four locations with Market Street in San Francisco, South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, Calif., and the Aventura Mall in Miami housing the other three stores. Worldwide, Red Valentino has around 100 units. Another Red Valentino store is slated to open next year in Hawaii.
