QUICK SHAVE: Say goodbye to The Police — and the beard. Sting, who appeared onstage sporting a salt-and-pepper beard at Madison Square Garden for the band’s final performance Thursday night, reappeared sans whiskers for the show’s encore. That’s because a duo of blonde barbers in black dresses from men’s salon John Allan’s performed a four-minute shave in a so-called “mobile grooming club” backstage after the show’s main set. Meanwhile, fans who were eagerly awaiting the rock trio’s swan song were able to view the bladed proceedings — which were accompanied by a manicure and a kiss from drummer Stewart Copeland — on big screens above the stage.
