Monday turned out to be Kanye West day in fashion land. He turned up late to Thakoon, on time to Proenza Schouler and was likely to attend the Marc Jacobs show later that night. All the while dressed in what he referred to as his "American Psycho" look—a plaid suit, buttoned up shirt, tortoiseshell glasses and custom-ordered Louis Vuitton backpack.

"Anyone can get one," he said, "just go into the Louis store."

Meanwhile, Nicole Richie and Mary-Kate Olsen sat deep in conversation next to Rosetta Getty, who is in town from Los Angeles to show her casual ready-to-wear line called Riser. Afterwards, she'll be traveling to London and Paris.

"I'm just trying to keep busy," said the estranged wife of Balthazar Getty.
