SILVER MEDAL: Prada’s Luna Rossa Piranha came in second place April 14 at the America’s Cup World Series competition in Naples, after the Emirates Team of New Zealand. The fashion house’s sailing team opted to donate its 15,000-euro prize — about $20,000 at current exchange — to the reconstruction of the Città della Scienza, a major Neapolitan science museum that was damaged during a fire earlier this year.

The Luna Rossa Piranha, an AC 45 catamaran, participated in the event alongside Prada’s Luna Rossa Swordfish, which came in fourth place.

The whole Luna Rossa crew is prepping for the Louis Vuitton Cup-Challenger Selection Series and the America’s Cup in San Francisco later this year.
