GINZA MOVES: Prada has a new home in Tokyo's Ginza district. This Saturday, the Italian brand will open a 10,667-square-foot store not far from the main Harumi Street and Chuo Street intersection near Mitsukoshi department store.

The three-level store, which replaces an older Prada outpost further down Chuo street, features interiors in keeping with Prada's design codes of classic black-and-white checkered marble floors, green accents, polished steel and glass furniture and a generous use of mirrors. Architect Roberto Baciocchi designed the boutique, which sells both men's and women's clothing and accessories.

Prada said the 3D facade — a structure of golden and polished steel narrow panels — pays tribute to artist Franco-Venezuelan artist Carlos Cruz-Diez.
