WINTER READING: The Prada Journal writing contest, which launched last April with Italian publisher Giangiacomo Feltrinelli Editore, is entering its third phase just in time for the holiday break. On Dec. 20 Prada will publish the winning entries in an e-book on prada.com/journal as well Feltrinellieditore.it/zoom/. Some 1,313 writers had entered the contest with short stories around a specific set of questions: “What are the realities that our eyes give back to us? And how are these realities filtered through lenses?” The project was tied in with the Italian fashion house’s eyewear, and the winners, pocketing $5,000 each, were Mattia Conti, Leisl Egan, Angel Mario Fernández, Sarah Harris Waman and Peng Yang.
