POWER DRESSERS: The Queen’s Gallery at Buckingham Palace is exploring the sartorial choices of royals and the upper classes of days past in a new show that runs until Oct. 6. “In Fine Style: The Art of Tudor and Stuart Fashion,” showcases prints, drawings and portraits of royals, courtiers and wealthy gentry of the 16th and 17th centuries.

“This is the first exhibition in England that focuses on fashion in portraiture,” said Anna Reynolds, who curated the show. “It demonstrates how clothing reveals information about the wearer and about the attitudes and values of the society at the time.”
