TIME FOR TIME: Pomellato unveiled its first watch Thursday in Milan. The Italian jewelry firm, which is controlled by Kering, has teamed up with Swiss luxury watchmaker Parmigiani Fleurier to debut a special edition of women’s timepieces. Called “Tonda Pomellato,” the new co-branded capsule includes four options, all in Pomellato’s signature pink gold. Three designs show the face decorated with a graphic pattern inspired by the Milanese label’s Arabesque line — a jewelry range of pierced pink gold pieces showing curved lines. The fourth style, with the bezel embellished with diamonds, pays homage to Pomellato’s “Capri” line and has the face made with turquoise stone.
The collection, which retails from 16,000 euros, or $21,548 at current exchange rate, to 23,000 euros, or $31,000, will be produced in a limited number of only 150 pieces to be sold at Pomellato stores, as well as the Atelier Parmigiani worldwide.
Parmigiani Fleurier chief executive officer Jean-Marc Jacot said that this co-branded project could be extended to the creation of a jewelry line produced by Pomellato for the Swiss company.
