Christopher Bailey, Phoebe Philo, Victoria Beckham and Paul Smith all have been nominated for the 2010 British Fashion Awards.

PLAUDITS FOR THE BRITS: A host of British designers — including Christopher Bailey, Phoebe Philo and Victoria Beckham ­— have won nominations for the 2010 British Fashion Awards. Christopher Kane, Erdem Moralioglu and Philo for Celine were nominated for designer of the year, while Burberry, Mulberry, Pringle of Scotland and Victoria Beckham were nominated for designer brand of the year. Bailey for Burberry was one of the designers nominated for men’s wear designer of the year, along with the label E. Tautz, Margaret Howell and Paul Smith. In the category of the Isabella Blow award for fashion creator, Nick Knight, stylist Nicola Formichetti and photographer Rankin were all nominated. The awards will be held December 7 at London’s Savoy Hotel.
