PIN UP: Marvin Traub Associates and hook + Albert, a men’s accessory company, have joined forces with Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center to raise awareness and funds for bladder cancer research through an initiative called Pin Down Bladder Cancer. Traub and the six-month-old accessories firm created a special lapel pin to be worn during Pin Down Bladder Cancer month in July. That month, supporters will ask their friends to sponsor them for at least $1 a day for every day they wear the pin. All donations will go to the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Bladder Cancer Research Fund. The rosette, which uses the organization’s signature colors of violet, navy and marigold, will be sold for $20. Patti Hansen, Alexandra Wilkis and Billy Reid have already signed on as ambassadors for the cause.
