PETA ARMANI PROTESTS: PETA plans to protest the Giorgio Armani store opening Tuesday, with dozens of PETA volunteers dressed in giant rabbit suits.

During a PETA video screening Tuesday, PETA senior vice president Dan Matthews said Armani had committed to stop using fur in July 2007, only to put rabbit furs on its fall 2008 runway.

Admitting the protests can be "obnoxious," Matthews said PETA "only crosses that line after every other attempt to reach people."

Armani had no comment.
