GOING ONCE: There was no shortage of creative types at the Thursday night party Patty Findlay threw to launch her branding and artist management company PF Global ARTists. Dutch model Mariana Verkerk, NYC Ballet’s Maria-Cristina Anzola, artists Hunt Slonem and Selwyn Senatori, architect Tom Pritchard, Michael Gross and “The Hilton Brothers” Christopher Makos and Paul Solberg were among the guests. Held at what used to be Gunter Sachs’ East 63rd Street townhouse, the mixer was hosted by Charles Evans’ widow Bonnie Pfeifer Evans, who lined the walls with photos of Andy Warhol, Liza Minnelli, Sachs, the Aga Khan and Brigitte Bardot (who was once married to Sachs.)
As any artist can attest , selling their work often involves some give and take. Selwyn has been busy casting his Neo-Pop paintings all over New York City including Bagatelle, The Biergarten and the city’s subways. But he spent much of Thursday night bartering with The Hilton Bros. who finally agreed to swap a taffeta plaid blazer (like the ones they were wearing) for one of his paintings. The barter will be complete by the time Selwyn has his May show in Amsterdam.
Evans also worked the room, which included moneyman David Dreman, Russell Simmons’ older brother Danny and Astoria Studios’ Cheri Kaufman. The $38 million residence is up-for-grabs and is among Evans’ listings. Sachs wasn’t the only VIP to call it home - Halston once owned it as did Gianni Agnelli.
