SURFACING AGAIN: Sentenced to 26 years in prison for arranging her ex-husband Maurizio Gucci’s murder in 1995, and after serving 17 years in jail, Patrizia Reggiani is now a free woman and her main wish is to work for Gucci, according to an interview with Italy’s La Repubblica on Wednesday. “I still feel like a Gucci, the most Gucci of all,” she told the daily, which shows her smiling with her new pet — a parrot — on her shoulder. Given her good conduct, Reggiani is expected to complete her sentence in social service work, which will allow her a gig at Milan-based costume jewelry firm Bozart. “I am skilled, for years I shopped around the world, I have an instinct for what the high-end customer wants. I come from jewelry and I return to jewelry,” said Reggiani, referring to the creative contribution and “product-testing” she plans to bring to the brand. It is no secret that Reggiani, often referred to as the “black widow” or the “dark lady,” has always been fond of designer frocks and precious baubles.
