PARK LANE PACK: “I came along for the ride,” said Sean Lennon, who sat in the front row beside guests including David Furnish, Jesse Metcalfe and Cara Santana at Richard James’ show in a BMW showroom on London’s Park Lane. It was Lennon’s first Richard James show, and he attended with a friend, taking time out of a busy music-making schedule.
Lennon is currently working on the annual arts and music Meltdown Festival at London’s Southbank Centre, curated this year by his mother, Yoko Ono, and working on a solo album to be released next year. He’s also preparing to kick off a tour of the U.S. in September with The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger, a band he formed in 2008 with his girlfriend, Charlotte Kemp Muhl.
Metcalfe, too, is passing through town with his girlfriend Santana, having helped plan the annual Shooting Stars Benefit, which took place in London. The actor, who’s already into his third season of “Dallas,” said he has further designs on London. “I’d love to do a play here, and I’ve been talking to people at the Donmar Warehouse. I may do something,” he said.
