BEAR FACTS: Move over Kitty. Chinese artist Jiji, famous for his grumpy panda drawings and T-shirts, is getting his first solo show in France at the Palais de Tokyo, with Antoine Arnault, Louis Vuitton’s communications director, hosting a party tonight to fete the exhibition ahead of the official Feb. 23 opening.

Arnault discovered Jiji’s work in Shanghai, has purchased some of his giant panda sculptures and is involved in the Panda Collection business, a French company that distributes Hi Panda clothing outside of Asia. “I immediately loved his humor, his creativity,” Arnault said.  Jiji plans to show paintings, sculptures and neons at the Palais de Tokyo expo.
