OUT OF THE BLUE: Wrapped in a blue fur-looking jacket, Carmen Electra chatted with Nigel Barker before Betsey Johnson. Aside from a few new movies and the soon-to-be-released single “I Like It Hot,” Electra spoke openly about being reenergized after being closed off for a while. “The past couple of years were pretty difficult. I stayed away for a while, lost inspiration and was kind of closed off,” she said. “My music is really what has inspired me. It made me want to come back. It has given me so much happiness. It feels like a new inspiration. I feel like I want to live.”
Recalling the tipping point, Electra said, “I was working nonstop on projects my heart wasn’t into. I felt like I wasn’t giving it my all, which is so not me. Then the more I stayed away, the more I became a hermit. Getting back onto stage reminded me where my heart is, which is in music and dance.”
